Drug Abuse Effects

Drug Abuse Effects
Based on its effects, drugs are divided into:
1.

Stimulation

a.

Increasing activity in the central nervous system (the faster the blood pumping, heart rate and breathing increase, etc..)

b.

Accelerating the mental processes, make people aware, and excited.

c.

Example: Caffeine, nicotine, amphetamines and the like, cocaine, Ritalin, deksamfetamin, etc..


2.

Depressant

a.

Slowing activity in the central nervous system.

b.

Make people become more santi and less aware of surroundings.

c.

Example: Alcohol, Valium, Rohypnol, Serapax, Temazapan, codeine, Panadin, heroin, opium, morphine, etc..


3.

Hallucinogens

a.

Can change significantly and cause disruption of perception, state of mind, and the environment.

b.

Disruption it causes the user to see or hear something very different from the actual (or does not really exist).

c.

Example: Lysergic Acid Diethylamine (LSD), magic mushrooms, Meskalin seeds, peyote, etc..


4.

Entaktogen: including stimulants have been modified which also has hallucinogenic properties


5.

Cannabinoids: including a unique group that affects certain receptors in the brain.
